Looking for a Volunteer Board Member

Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative is seeking an individual with an accounting/finance background to join our Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate possesses the following attributes:

• Is a team player, willing to roll up their sleeves and advance the objectives of the cooperative

• Is passionate about renewable energy

• Has a background in public accounting (and professional designation)

• Has a background in finance (raising capital)

• Has a knowledge of the Cooperative Act in Alberta

• Previous Board experience

• Resides in the Bow Valley (Lake Louise to Cochrane)

• Can commit to participating in weekly working board meetings

This is an exciting opportunity to help an organization during its start-up phase, participate in an initiative that will change the region’s profile, and help the Bow Valley’s climate change mitigation efforts.
