Our volunteers and board committee have been hard at work in the following areas:
The Finance and Administration team has been busy this month! They have been working hard to support the Project Development team with financial projections for the PPA negotiations and contractor selection for our first two project prospects.
At the same time, they have also worked with the Membership Committee on executing the membership application process and processing applicant payments.
Thanks to the Finance team BVGEC is now the proud holder of both a General Liability and Directors and Officers insurance policy.
The Communications and Promotions team is rolling out our branding and marketing strategy for our current membership drive. Expect to hear a lot more from BVGEC in the coming months!
Do you have access to and the ability to pilot a drone expertly? If so, we might have a fun volunteer opportunity for you! For more information, email connect@bvgreenenergy.org.
The Governance team is finalising the suite of agreements required to commence our first installation on Ralph Connor Memorial United Church.
The Membership and Stakeholder Engagement team is excited that the membership application portal is open for those who want to become members and part owners in the Cooperative.
We currently have 28 Members and 32 Friends enlisted. If you have skills to offer and would like to volunteer, please fill out our Friends Application.
In collaboration with the Governance team, the Technology and Business Development team are analysing the energy marketer opportunity.
They are also working to identify new technologies and applicable opportunities throughout the greater Bow Val beyond just solar PV.
The Project Development committee has chosen the installer for our second project installation at St Michael's Anglican Church.
Trees, which would have shaded the upcoming installation of solar panels on the Ralph Conner United Memorial church, have been removed in preparation for our first project construction! Don’t worry! We plan to replace the trees in another location by contributing to a local tree-planting scheme.
