The i-place installation is now live and generating!

Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative

We are celebrating our second community-owned solar installation in the Bow Valley!

On Nov 7, 2022, Toby Brodkorb from BVGEC and Donna Landi representing I-Place flipped the switch and energised a 127kW solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the new I-Place mixed-use development in Canmore. The system comprises 283 solar panels and is expected to generate 135,000 kWh of energy, offsetting 88 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.

This project resulted from a collaboration between BVGEC, SBL Contractors, Steve Landi, and Emissions Reduction Alberta.

Thanks to KUBY Renewable Energy LTD for providing sales and installation services. An enormous thank you goes to all the volunteers and BVGEC Member Investors who brought this project to life ❤️
