Our 2021 Highlights!
2021 was a transformative year for Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative with a significant number of milestones accomplished, and I would like to acknowledge the tireless work of our volunteer Board and Executive for making this year our first full year as a cooperative a considerable success.
There is substantial press focussed on climate change and the need for an energy transition. However, there is also a significant focus on the need for government policy and a considerable amount of 'talk' and not nearly enough 'action'.
The BVGEC Board, our Friends, Members, Investors, and our Hosts are committed to taking action. We are not just 'talking'; we are doing. Change does not start with government; it begins with individuals taking personal accountability to change. So today, I would like to say thank you for being accountable and establishing change.
BVGEC looks forward to "being the change" and continuing to make renewable energy affordable and accessible in the Bow Valley in 2022 and beyond.
