At approx. 15:25 on Sept 17, 2021 Jeff Roberts from BVGEC and Rev. Greg Wooley of Ralph Connor Memorial United Church (RCMUC) flipped the switch and energized an 11kW solar photovoltaic system on the roof or RCMUC. The system is expected to generate up 12,000 kWhr of renewable electricity per year and to and offset 7.4 tonnes of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from the electricity grid annually.

Community-owned renewable energy is no longer just a concept here in Alberta!
