Together is Better: Community Green Energy Generation in Alberta

Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley | September 19, 2023

The climate is talking, and communities are listening! Learn about how community generation is advancing Alberta's green energy transition. Community generation projects are renewable energy installations financed, owned, and managed by individuals. Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative (BVGEC) is a locally owned and volunteer-operated social enterprise that uses a unique model to allow community members to invest collaboratively and benefit from power generation. This presentation will use BVGEC as a community action initiative case study.
