Our New Year Resolutions for 2022:
To engage our Friends and Members in meaningful activities that help transform Alberta's energy!
To double our membership!
To raise $250,000 in community investment!
To install 150 kW of community-owned renewable energy in the Bow Valley!
To officially launch Rocky Mountain Community Energy and sign up 100 customers for green energy solutions.
All of this is possible; you can help by signing up for one of our initiatives or by spreading the word to your friends and family. Here's to a successful 2022!
Our volunteers and board committee have been hard at work in the following areas:
The Finance and Administration team is working on an Offering Memorandum document to allow Members to invest in BVGEC.
The Communications and Promotions team has scheduled the advertising for 2022 for our new energy marketing arm, Friends, Members, Investors and Host Marketing.

The Governance team is helping to prepare for our second annual AGM to be held in the spring of 2022.
The Membership and Stakeholder Engagement team is managing our Investor engagement process and building out our member engagement. We currently have 58 Members and 29 Friends. If you know of anyone who might be interested in joining BVGEC as a Friend, Member or Investor, please take a moment to share who we are and what we are doing with them!
The Fundraising team is waiting to hear back about several grant funding applications submitted recently. Watch this space for exciting updates!
The Technology and Business Development committee has been pursuing various financing options for installing new generation facilities.
The Energy Marketing team is waiting for the onboarding platform to be delivered from Utility Net in preparation for the launch of this new initiative!
The Project Development committee has been working with several host sites to assess their viability as new host sites.
